How great are the works of God! And what wonderful healings are brought about through Christian Science!

Some years ago I was taken with a serious illness. I consulted four eminent doctors. They were all powerless to help me and gave me up as incurable. I was near despair. X-ray pictures were taken. They showed a crack in one of the vertebrae of the neck and compression of the vertebrae in the lowest part of the spine. The doctors were astonished that I could carry on in this condition.

The last doctor I consulted ordered a stay in a hospital, where I was to lie on an orthopedic bed. However, at my request I was allowed to put up an orthopedic bed at home. I was also obliged to wear a collar of metal and felt. Whenever I wore it, I had attacks of choking. I lay on this orthopedic bed three months with no evidence of improvement. On the contrary, the condition was growing worse.
