Church Building

One of the ways in which Christian Scientists express their lasting gratitude to God for the revelation of scientific Christianity through their Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, is in building church edifices when such a step is the result of demonstration. This activity then becomes a joyous undertaking, richly blessing the members of the branch and congregation.

A branch church writes of its completed building program: "At a time when the membership felt the need for a new Sunday School building, but sufficient funds were not on hand with which to proceed, study of the booklet, 'Branch Church Building' (distributed by The Christian Science Board of Directors) was commenced. Many practical and helpful comments were found therein.

"For the next year, the building committee held meetings with the members, inviting them to come once a month and contribute inspirationally toward the Sunday School project. The fund grew as the foundational metaphysical work was laid for a beautiful Sunday School building.
