Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Altadena, California (First Church).

Although First Church of Christ, Scientist, Altadena, California, was completed at 942 Altadena Drive in 1950, dedication services will be conducted Sunday.... The public is invited to attend any of the dedication services, scheduled for 9.30 and 11 a.m., as well as 8 p.m.

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Altadena, was recognized by The Mother Church, in Boston, Massachusetts, as a Christian Science Society in 1941. Services were then being held in the American Legion Hall and continued to be held in that location until September, 1945, when the society moved to the William D. Davies Memorial Building at Farnsworth Park, Altadena.
