"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." These words on page vii of the Preface to the textbook by Mrs. Eddy have been my inspiration since the first time I read them more than forty years ago.

Science and Health was placed in my hands at a time of stress and great sorrow in my young womanhood. I read it night and day and regularly attended services held in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist.

After attending my first Christian Science lecture, I was filled with awe and gratitude when I realized that I was healed of a painful female disorder. Several weeks later I called on a member of the medical profession who confirmed the fact that I had also been healed of pulmonary tuberculosis. In my work I did a great deal of outdoor walking, and I was healed in two treatments of an infected corn and lost no time from work.
