A number of years ago our...

A number of years ago our youngest child was not progressing as he should. We took him to a physician, who diagnosed the condition as cerebral palsy. The only hope offered was that which involved institutional care. The picture was indeed a dark one, but in my extremity I asked for help in Christian Science. I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School as a child, but had left the study, as well as the teachings, upon becoming an adult.

The practitioner to whom I turned for help sent me several passages from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy to study. One of these passages was from page 283, where she writes, "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action."

In two weeks I took this child for further testing, and the physician could not believe it was the same child. In just one month all symptoms had left, and today he is as normal as any other child his age.
