I have many reasons to be grateful...

I have many reasons to be grateful for Christian Science, and I should like to share what was to me a wonderful experience. About six months before our second son was born, my husband and I, with some relatives and friends, were about one hundred and seventy-five miles from home on a week-end trip. On Friday evening a miscarriage seemed imminent. Help was immediately asked of a Christian Science practitioner.

The chapter entitled "Genesis" in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was studied through most of that evening. One particular statement on page 521 was very helpful to me. It reads: "All that is made is the work of God, and all is good. We leave this brief, glorious history of spiritual creation (as stated in the first chapter of Genesis) in the hands of God, not of man, in the keeping of Spirit, not matter,—joyfully acknowledging now and forever God's supremacy, omnipotence, and omnipresence."

On Sunday morning we made the return trip home by automobile, knowing that "all is under the control of the one Mind, even God" (ibid., p. 544). My normal activities were very shortly resumed.
