"THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE"

One problem that confronts each person is the belief that vigor, energy, and strength are concomitants of youth and that they deteriorate and disappear with the passing of years. Christian Science teaches that blighted age is an erroneous sense of being, a consequent of the belief that life has a beginning and an ending. The essential characteristic of true being is its never-ending expression of God, eternal Life.

The Bible declares that God, Spirit, has all power, and Christian Science shows how the power of God is manifested in spiritual energy, vigor, and strength by the man of God's creating.

Many times in Scripture it is proclaimed that strength is of God. In Psalms (27:1) we read, "The Lord is the strength of my life." Mary Baker Eddy has revealed and proved that God is Mind and that strength is a quality of Mind. "The life of man is Mind," she writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 402). Hence man's vigor and strength are qualities of divine Mind with which he is endowed.
