The church was organized in March, 1919. Its first services were held at the Berkeley Institute on Lincoln Place.
In 1926, Sterling Place proerty was purchased, and the cornerstone of the present edifice was laid in 1936.
The first services in the new building were held in December of that year in the Sunday School auditorium. The main auditorium, where services are now held, was completed in March, 1949. ...
