It is now five years since my first...
It is now five years since my first testimony was published in the Sentinel, and I wish to express my gratitude again for the divine protection I have experienced in the meantime.
In 1956 I applied for a renewal of my driver's license and was turned down because of poor vision. The examiner recommended that I have my glasses checked by an optician. The optician told me my glasses were correct. I took the vision test a second time, made fewer mistakes, and was granted the renewal.
Three years later I needed another renewal, and the suggestion came to me, "At your age you cannot expect your vision to be even as good as it was three years ago; so how can you hope to get a renewal now?" That shocked me into a change of thinking, and I began to declare the truth several times daily that since God is the one all-seeing Mind, He sees perfectly and that therefore man, His spiritual image and likeness, has perfect discernment. Further, I declared that true vision is a faculty of Mind, indestructible and unimpairable.
