Words alone are inadequate...

Words alone are inadequate to express my heartfelt gratitude for the blessings I have received from Christian Science for nearly half a century. It has enabled me to weather many severe storms, and now in the best of health and well-being I can devote more time to the study of it and to church work, both of which mean everything to me.

I came to this country from one of the Balkan states when I was a boy of fourteen, alone and somewhat handicapped by lack of understanding of the English language. Some years later I developed a severe case of catarrh, and vainly seeking a healing, I went from one doctor and climate to another. A friend one day jokingly recommended I try Christian Science. I took him seriously and called on a Christian Science practitioner. Although my progress was slow and I had the help of several practitioners at different times, as I persisted I finally gained my healing.

About twenty years ago my business failed, my home was broken up by divorce, my family was scattered, and I felt alone in the world. I had to start life all over again. By placing radical reliance on Christian Science, I re-entered business, married, and established a new home. Within six years I retired on a substantial income from the business, which had been very successful.
