I recently read a testimony by one who was healed of a very limiting disability, as I myself was, and I feel I must not withhold my gratitude longer. A few years ago I was experiencing pain in my back, a leg, and a hip, and I was unable to move about with my usual freedom and ease. Having been brought up as a Christian Scientist, I turned to a practitioner for treatment; the help which was given sustained me and enabled me to keep going.

The condition did not yield altogether, however, and it became advisable, for family reasons, to permit a medical diagnosis. A doctor told me that a disk in the spine was apparently displaced and that I also had a tendency to suffer from arthritis. He recommended that I should have an X-ray photograph taken to confirm his diagnosis and then orthopedic treatment, I thanked him and told him that I wished to rely on Christian Science.

Shortly after this an opportunity presented itself for me to pay a visit to one of the Christian Science Houses in Great Britain, and the warmth of the love that greeted me there was unforgettable. It was a joy to rest and study in an atmosphere where Christian Science was being lived so faithfully.
