"To those leaning on the sustaining...
"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, Pref., p vii) were the first words I ever read about Christian Science. They entered my consciousness at a time when I was seeking peace of mind concerning a business problem.
I studied this religion earnestly for six months, and, with the aid of a Christian Science practitioner, slow business times, financial lack, and animosity toward fellow business associates were eliminated from my experience.
The practitioner reminded me of these words from the Bible (Joel 2:25): "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." This promise has certainly been fulfilled. I was eventually led to go into a new line of business, one I had never considered before, and it has brought me satisfaction in every way.
