My parents became interested in Christian Science when I was three years old. From then till I was twenty years of age, I had the privilege of regular attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School. For this I shall always be grateful. During three years at college I found that the teaching I had received in Sunday School helped me to demonstrate intelligence and strength with the result that my advanced study was completed with distinction, although in earlier years I had been only an average pupil.

Since my marriage to a Christian Scientist, many healings have proved to us that Christian Science reveals the truth, bringing peace and the assurance of God's continuing goodness.

Some months after the birth of our second child, I suffered an internal displacement. Prayerful help, given by a Christian Scientist, enabled me to see that many unlovely qualities needed to be eradicated from my thinking. I tried to keep my thinking filled with true ideas and held to this sentence from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 160): "Unless muscles are self-acting at all times, they are never so,—never capable of acting contrary to mental direction." The condition gradually yielded, and within three months normality was apparent.
