At the time Christian Science...
At the time Christian Science was brought to my attention I was ill and unhappy. Harsh experiences as a young girl had made me afraid of life. Christian Science soon taught me that Love casts out fear. Tense relationships have been turned into friendships. God, whom I had always sought, I have learned to understand better and to know as the ever-present power of good and as my nearest and only true relative.
I have had many proofs, often instantaneous, of the healing power of Christian Science for myself and for my family. My father was healed of blood poisoning and broken ribs, and I have been able to destroy a tendency to colds. Burns, scalds, fever, foot trouble, heart neurosis, nephritis, and neuralgic pains were also overcome.
A serious nervous illness which often made my whole body tremble was healed when I prayed long and earnestly for myself. Each impressive healing has brought with it a change in my character and has led me higher in the understanding of Christian Science.
