Christian Science was introduced to me in 1913 by the manager of the establishment where I was employed. Both the manager and her sister were Christian Scientists. Because of a problem existing in my home, they wished to help me; so I started attending the Christian Science church in that city.

During the epidemic in 1918 I had a very quick healing of influenza through the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner. I telephoned the practitioner from the store before leaving for home in the evening, and by morning I was completely free.

Christian Science was not kindly accepted in my home; so I talked very little about it, nor did I continue its study. But the seed had been sown which was to come into full bloom in my experience many years later through membership in The Mother Church and the priceless experience of class instruction. Since renewing my interest in Christian Science, I have had many healings, some through my own understanding and some through the help of a practitioner.
