Christian Science came into my experience while I was still in my teens; and although I did not have the privilege of attending the Sunday School, I realized from the beginning that I had found the truth. This was at the time of World War I. My eldest brother had been killed, and my mother had passed on a few months after. My home had been broken up, and I was left alone wondering why there had to be so much unhappiness in the world.

Gradually this Science began to answer my questions and solve my problems. I can gratefully state that all through the years there has been a steady gain in my understanding of the allness and goodness of God. This understanding has been manifested in all the details of my life.

As my education had not prepared me to earn my own living in any special occupation, I took a business course. Although my business career started during the depression, trusting in God, I was never unemployed. As one door closed, another opened until some years ago I was led to my present position, which has been a most harmonious and satisfying experience.
