LETTER FROM HOME: LESSON-SERMON

(For Young People)

A letter from home is a wonderful thing:It brings sweet assurance and makes the heart sing,From father or mother it gives happy newsAnd also advises the thoughts you should chooseTo keep you contented and well while awayAnd to help with the problems encountered each day.It may say that the collie still watches your room,That the corn is in tassel, the lilacs in plume,Or it may cite a passage to lift you aboveA false sense of self, but it always brings love.

Like a letter from home is the message you readFrom the week's Lesson-Sermon to meet the heart's need!It comes from the Father and Mother of all,Our God, who takes care lest a sparrow should fall.Interpreted clearly by Science, it showsThe true facts of being—the truth that God knows. It tells of the promises God will fulfillFor you who obey Him and follow His will;It gives you advice from the infinite MindAnd shows you that Love is all-knowing and kind.
