RADIO PROGRAM No. 198 - How a Mother's Fear Was Healed

Speaker: In the everyday affairs of a mother, it's a great comfort to have gained the conviction that all of God's children are protected and governed by His tender care. Our guest today has had reason many times to be grateful for her clear understanding of God, which has removed fear and brought healing to her children. I would like you to know Mrs. Vivien Barris of Delaware, Ohio.

Mrs. Barris: I have learned how safe it is to depend on the everpresent power of God to meet all of our needs. To illustrate, I would like to tell you of one experience, because I learned so much from it.

Our daughter, who was then in the first grade, had a sore on her knee which we found was impetigo, a skin infection prevalent in that school. A friend who came later in the day said she had been to the doctor about the same kind of sore on her face, and that he had said not to let it go, because it would spread very fast. But as a student of Christian Science, I knew that God is good and creates only good and that He does not create imperfection to torment His children. However, several other spots appeared on the child's legs, and before long our son, who was two, had some on his face.
