Christian Science has healed me...

Christian Science has healed me mentally, morally, and physically. For over forty-eight years it has sustained me, and during those years I have not tasted medicine. Some time ago I had a severe bronchial attack. Kind friends wished me to have material medicine; but instead I had Christian Science treatment, and I recovered quickly and completely.

A number of years ago my subscription to the Christian Science literature was due, and the funds I possessed were just enough to pay for it. I asked myself if I could afford our literature, or if I could afford to do without it. Wishing to be obedient to the Manual of The Mother Church by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy (Art. VIII, Sect. 14), I decided I could not afford to neglect the privilege of sharing in the activity of our literature. I therefore renewed my subscription.

A copy of The Christian Science Monitor included in that subsciption was later read by a friend who had a strong prejudice against Christian Science, and this reading resulted in turning her prejudice to admiration for our movement and especially for the Monitor. It also resulted in an improvement of my own circumstances, including possession of a home of my own.
