I had the glorious privilege of being raised in Christian Science. The truths I learned in the Sunday School have been a great inspiration to me.

A little over three years ago a large lump appeared on my wrist. I applied Christian Science the best I knew how, but the condition remained unchanged. I was led to go to a former Sunday School teacher, who is a Christian Science practitioner and who had helped me many times while I was in Sunday School. I asked her if she would give me some help, and she replied that she would be happy to help me, but reminded me that God does the healing. I returned home, and as a result of absent treatment the lump completely disappeared.

During the time when the healing was taking place I was gaining a clearer concept of God and of man as His reflection. I realized that whatever happened to the body—whether it was cut, burned, or buried—the real man remains perfect. It was no longer important to me that the lump be removed; rather, I desired to gain a better understanding of Christian Science and of God's healing power.
