Reading the many testimonies of healing in the Christian Science literature, I am prompted to write of the blessings I have received from my study and application of truth.

I had a spiritually minded mother; so as I matured, I preferred to look for the good in everything and everybody. I learned that some of my best friends had taken up the study of Christian Science with most satisfying results. After attending some Wednesday evening testimony meetings in a Church of Christ, Scientist, I made my decision to study Science too. This step led to my joining both The Mother Church and a branch church. My wife did the same, and we both had class instruction.

I had had a hernia which became very annoying. It responded to Christian Science treatment, and the healing came, although I never knew just when. This statement by Mrs. Eddy was very helpful (Science and Health, pp. 243, 244): "Inasmuch as God is good and the fount of all being, He does not produce moral or physical deformity."
