After the many proofs I have had of the ever-availability of God's protection, loving care, and unerring guidance, it has occurred to me that the most important task I have at the moment is to express gratitude in our periodicals for these proofs, gained through reliance on Christian Science.

Our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, assures us in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 192), "Whatever holds human thought in line with unselfed love, receives directly the divine power." I had two experiences which illustrated the truth of these words.

One night I awakened to hear our little son coughing hard, crying between coughs, and breathing with difficulty. As I began to study the answer to the question, "What is man?" on page 475 of our textbook, I was suddenly overwhelmed with one desire: to prove to myself that Christian Science heals. I knew that if anyone should ask me if he could be healed by Christian Science, I would vehemently answer, "Yes." And here was an opportunity to strengthen this positive stand for Principle.
