TRUE SATISFACTION
"I Shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness" (Ps. 17:15). These words of the Psalmist describe true satisfaction and are well worth pondering. From a human standpoint, to be awake is to be aware of things taking place in our surroundings. In a spiritual sense true wakefulness is consciousness of our genuine selfhood, our individual expression of infinite intelligence, God, an expression that is perfect because God is perfect.
Christ Jesus was always conscious of his true selfhood, his oneness, or unity, with God. In "No and Yes" Mary Baker Eddy says (p. 36), "Jesus' true and conscious being never left heaven for earth."
