THE COMPLETENESS OF GOD'S IMAGE

ONE of the first things a bank teller learns in his field of work is to detect counterfeit money; and it is interesting to note that the ability to detect counterfeit money is not gained through the study of the counterfeit but through a careful study and analysis of genuine money.

Every student of Christian Science is seeking more and more to understand man as created in God's image. A perfect, spiritual concept is what he endeavors to see.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (pp. 476, 477): "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick." As followers of Christ Jesus, is it not our divine right to see the perfect man? What greater assurance can we have of our perfect, spiritual existence than to know that we are created to glorify God? What a profound role is ours—actually created to express God's complete nature!
