JOYOUS DECISIONS

In the daily orderliness of our human experiences many incidents and transactions come to us for consideration and solution. When one looks to God for the ideas which proceed from the all-knowing Mind, correct responses and instantaneous decisions are available; and these decisions are joyous, reliable, and conclusive. If, on the other hand, decisions are not based upon divine ideas, they are hesitant, ponderous, and troublesome. Veritable answers are spontaneous and bring happiness because they are divinely inspired. And they bring forth fruition.

In making decisions, we lack God-reflected wisdom and stability when we rely on confused mortal mind thinking. But when we understand that man, God's image, manifests divine intelligence, we cannot be erroneously influenced by mortal mind suggestions. The one divine cause is actively ever present and is expressed in unfolding wisdom and certainty.

Mary Baker Eddy in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," states with assurance (p. 195): "The point for each one to decide is, whether it is mortal mind or immortal Mind that is causative. We should forsake the basis of matter for metaphysical Science and its divine Principle." She continues, "Whatever furnishes the semblance of an idea governed by its Principle, furnishes food for thought."
