Along with multitudes of others I join in an ever-swelling paean of grateful praise for the healing power of Christian Science, the divine law of God, revealed by Mary Baker Eddy.

In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy we read (p. 412): "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death." This truth was demonstrated in our home recently when our four-year-old son, who is a pupil in a Christian Science Sunday School, got his hand caught in the mechanism of an electric ironer which was in motion, unattended.

The truth which I began declaring the instant his screams reached me calmed us both. A quick telephone call to an experienced Christian Scientist brought an assurance of Love's ever-presence and efficacy. I was instructed to have someone come to loosen the machinery. A neighbor came, but he and I found the machinery unyielding. Then we stood back to see if we might try further, and although we were not even touching the ironer—only the precious truth of Christian Science was at work—the boy's hand slipped from the machinery, and he exclaimed, "It's out, Mommie."
