In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"...

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy says (p. 320): "The one important interpretation of Scripture is the spiritual. For example, the text, 'In my flesh shall I see God,'gives a profound idea of the divine power to heal the ills of the flesh, and encourages mortals to hope in Him who healeth all our diseases." I have had positive proof that the divine power does "heal the ills of the flesh, and encourages mortals to hope in Him who healeth all our diseases."

A few years ago I found myself in a desperate situation. A large growth, which I believed to be malignant, manifested itself on my body. The physical evidence became alarming. It was very difficult for me to walk, and the pain was severe.

The time came when I was forced to make a decision. Should I submit to a physical diagnosis or turn to Christian Science for help? I had known about this Science for many years and occasionally attended church and read the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. After deep consideration as to what I should do I decided to rely wholly on Christian Science.
