For many years the study and acceptance of Christian Science have brought me blessings and healings; it is, therefore, with longfelt gratitude that I now write of these blessings. There have been healings of chronic headache, influenza, and oak poisoning. False traits of character, especially selfwill, self-condemnation, and extreme fear, have been overcome. Freedom of loved ones from the tobacco and liquor habits has been further cause for gratitude. During many years of teaching I was grateful for the strength, wisdom, understanding, and health which enabled me to work with children in the schoolroom without missing one day because of sickness.

One healing I particularly wish to relate, as it may give others hope and courage to continue seeking their healing in Christian Science, however hopeless the situation may appear. This was the complete healing of a nervous breakdown. Following many years of study of Christian Science, with its proofs of freedom, health, and joy, I suddenly found myself the victim of a breakdown. A long period of despair and hopelessness followed. I questioned the why of the difficulty and believed that there was no help from any source, not even Christian Science.

My husband felt led to take me to my brother's home in a distant city, and after we arrived there, a hope began to grow in my thought that a practitioner could help me. I called on one a few blocks away whose name I found listed in The Christian Science Journal. She welcomed me in, and when I left her I was assured for the first time in five years that I could again be well and strong. For several weeks her help was lovingly given.
