TWO-WAY COMMUNICATION

Let's figure it out
And rout the folly
That we send a message
From inner problem
To outer God.
Oh, surely, not from a me
Or composite of me
Pinned on geography
Do I signal by some calligraphy:
"Come, come to my aid."

Let's figure it out.
I AM, the great, high, potent God,
Blazed deep His presence to a Moses
As light in Moses' consciousness.
And turned and burned
And echoed back and forth
In speech and argument
Till he agreed with fully
Complemented man.

Let's figure it out.
The problem cries—not I—
And no communication goes nor comes
From fear to fearless Being.
But God communicates Himself to
And happy recognition leads,
As Moses led
His life-charged vision,
Through ebb tides of a world
Into eternity.
