GOD OUTLINES

When Moses demurred at God's command to lead the children of Israel from bondage, God reassured him, saying (Ex. 3:12), "Certainly I will be with thee." Later on, when their journey carried them to the Red Sea and they found the Egyptians close upon their trail, the children of Israel rebelled against Moses, feeling that their plight was worse than when they were in bondage.

Here Moses' faith in God's presence and power enabled him to reassure his followers, for he rightly told them that they would see their salvation from the hand of the enemy. Then he added (Ex. 14:14), "The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."Whereupon God chided Moses, "Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward."

As Moses led the children of Israel to safety, so we can fulfill our life mission as outlined for us by divine wisdom and thus glorify God. When one of us has the spiritual vision to discern a right task, he has also the ability from God to accomplish it. God's angel thoughts were with Moses, strengthening him, giving him intelligence, and pointing the way. Just so, they are with each one of us who looks to God and seeks to do His will.
