"They that wait upon the Lord...

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isa. 40:31). The truth of this quotation from the Bible was proved in my experience after a long period of inactivity and suffering caused by a physical condition considered incurable by three medical doctors.

I was confined to my bed and was not allowed to have visitors. There was no hope of my resuming a normal life. The fact that I was dependent on a member of my family because I did not have a home of my own added to my misery.

At that time I had no understanding of Christian Science, but suddenly, after fifteen months of consistent reading of the Bible, I had a desire to read a biography of Mary Baker Eddy. Therefore, I requested that inquiry be made regarding such a book, and within a few days I received a copy of "The Life of Mary Baker Eddy" by Sibyl Wilbur, purchased at a Christian Science Reading Room in my locality.
