PERFECT VISION DIVINELY AUTHORIZED

Christian Science teaches that sight is a spiritual faculty which is expressed by the perfect man, made in God's image and likeness. A consciousness filled with gratitude, kindness, compassion, and love sees high above the discords of mortal sense to the pure light and perfect reflection of the divine Mind, God. Harmonious human sight can be realized only to the degree that one purifies his understanding of God and man. It is discordant mortal mind that blurs one's vision.

One often hears it said, "My eyesight is failing me." But what an erroneous statement that is! That which causes failure is our own lack of understanding of God's perfect creation. Since there is but one God and therefore one Mind, good, man sees through the Mind-faculties alone. The material eye presents but an erroneous sense of sight.
