DEALING WITH INSUBORDINATION
One who acknowledges God to be the Supreme Being must also acknowledge that all creation is subordinate to God's law, His unchallengeable will. Following this line of reason, one must go on to acknowledge that there is complete harmony in God's realm, the kingdom of heaven, which Christ Jesus declared to be at hand. There is no sin, pain, disease, limitation, or death in this realm where the Supreme Being governs, for these destructive elements have no place in the handiwork of the creator, the constructive Principle of man and the universe.
According to Christian Science, God is divine Mind, and His universe is made up of spiritual ideas, all of which are necessarily obedient to the Mind which creates ideas by knowing them and which maintains ideas by continuing to know them forever. Not one idea can break away from the order of goodness and harmony in which divine law holds it. Man, the highest idea of God— His spiritual image—is eternally obedient to the law of God. Mary Baker Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 123), "That man can break the forever-law of infinite Love, was, and is, the serpent's biggest lie!"
