Christian Science was introduced to me by a neighbor, who lovingly offered me a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I took up the study of this Science in 1951, and since then it has been my only physician. I have experienced healings of backaches, colitis, constipation of years' standing, athlete's foot, and loss of hearing in one ear.

One of the healings for which I am especially grateful was that of a disfiguring skin irritation on my hands and face. This was a healing of a condition which had appeared every summer or fall over a period of years and for which numerous medical means had been employed in the hope of obtaining relief. The condition did not yield quickly, but through the consecrated work of Christian Science practitioners, who helped me at different times, and through my daily study of the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, my skin became entirely free and unblemished. Although on two or three occasions the condition temporarily returned, it was quickly banished. No medical help was sought.
