More than twenty years have passed since I began a serious study of Christian Science, and during this time there have been many proofs of God's loving care. One healing, for which I am grateful, was that of a very painful condition of my right arm and shoulder. For several weeks it was impossible for me to use this arm. The difficulty interfered with my household duties and presented a problem when I was caring for my personal needs.

Applying the truth for about two weeks through my own understanding did not bring about the desired result, and a Christian Science practitioner was called. Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 167 of Science and Health, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." Through my "radical reliance on Truth," together with the prayerful work of the practitioner, this condition was completely overcome.

I am sincerely grateful for the manner in which I was uplifted and sustained during the passing on of loved ones. The words of Hymn No. 134 in the Christian Science Hymnal were a constant source of comfort to me. The first stanza of it reads:
