[Original testimony in German]

In Psalms we read (103:2)...

In Psalms we read (103:2), "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits." Truly, I have every reason continually to remind myself how much I have been helped, for God freed me from great mental darkness.

For a long time I suffered from depression and was always full of fearful thoughts. I believed that I could no longer do my work as a homemaker. All sense of joy was lost, and I was afraid to be among people. I was discouraged, discontented, and above all, ungrateful.

During this time I had help from a Christian Science practitioner, who expressed much love and gentleness. She succeeded in leading me out of darkness into the light, for which I shall always be most sincerely grateful. I have learned that God works in me "to will and to do" (Phil. 2:13). My work is now as easy as child's play, and I go about my daily duties with joy.
