I should like to narrate one of the many healings I have experienced since taking up the study of Christian Science at the beginning of the century. In my early married life I became afflicted with eczema, a skin trouble which caused me much discomfort and marred my appearance. At the time, I was expecting our first child, and my husband was greatly concerned about the skin trouble. We had just heard of Christian Science, and he earnestly desired that I give it a trial. With reluctance and fear I consented to visit a practitioner.

The interview was all that might be expected from a woman who was enlightened by this spiritual teaching and who had the sincere welfare of her fellow beings at heart. I was healed in that one treatment. Immediately after that visit all irritation disappeared. There was no further need to apply creams and lotions. I forgot about the disease so completely that when my mother later asked, "How is your trouble?" I stared blankly at her for a few moments before I could recall what she meant.

This was in the spring of the year. Hitherto each spring had brought me discomfort, which in-increased with the coming of summer. The following summer was exceptionally hot, but to my joy and wonder the disease never reappeared.
