"WHAT WILL YOU DO ABOUT IT?"

The Annual Meeting of The Mother Church is just at hand. Many of the members are now assembling in Boston for this joyous event, and many more are looking forward to reading the report of the meeting to be published in our Christian Science periodicals. As the Annual Meeting assembles each year, every member, wherever he may be, may well pause to remind himself of the great debt of gratitude which he owes to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

A short statement in one of Mrs. Eddy's addresses to The Mother Church summarizes the great contribution which she has made to all mankind through her active life of self-forgetfulness and through her love for her fellow men. In an article entitled "Note" Mrs. Eddy writes of the magnitude of her work (Pulpit and Press, p. 20), "From first to last The Mother Church seemed type and shadow of the warfare between the flesh and Spirit, even that shadow whose substance is the divine Spirit, imperatively propelling the greatest moral, physical, civil, and religious reform ever known on earth."

In these words our Leader has indicated something of the changes and blessings which would come to every aspect of human experience through her teachings and through the activities of her Church. Its members are now engaged in a great Christianly scientific militant crusade of breaking the fetters of mankind and revealing the kingdom of heaven as actually present in the hearts of men.
