Many years ago I became interested in Christian Science through my mother's healing of heart trouble. Physicians had said that they could do no more for her, and she was apparently passing on when a Christian Science practitioner was brought into our home. The healing was instantaneous. My mother stayed with us fifteen years after that healing.

During the years that have followed I have experienced and seen many healings. Through the application of the truths of Christian Science our children were healed quickly of so-called children's diseases and lost little time from school. When the youngest boy was three years old, he was struck with great force by a swing in the park where the children were playing. His lip was split open. On the way home I held to the thought expressed in Hebrews (4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword." Through the work of a Christian Science practitioner the lip was completely healed. We are grateful for the protection which this boy received in World War II and for his safe return.

I was healed of sciatica in about three weeks with the help of a practitioner. There was much resentment and sensitiveness to be overcome in my thinking, and I had to learn to love more and to be grateful, even for small things. When my thoughts were corrected, the healing came. I was healed of a goiter when I rejected the thought of an operation and knew that Love was sufficient for my need. Later, when I looked at my throat, the goiter had disappeared. A severe cough also yielded to the healing power of Truth. These are only a few of the healings I have experienced through Christian Science.
