I select the following instances of healing from the many that I have had, because I believe they will be the most helpful to others.
One winter morning I started to go to the basement. On the first step of the outdoor stairs both my feet slipped on the ice, and I slid down a short flight of stairs on my back. As I fell I declared aloud: "This is not really happening. This is not happening to me." I slid to a cement landing, got up quickly, and walked down the next flight of stairs to the basement.
My husband, who had heard me fall, came to the door and asked me if I was hurt. I replied, "I am not hurt." My thought was so joyous and uplifted that I was scarcely conscious of my body. During the day I had to reject suggestions that I would be sore and shaken the following day. I felt no ill effects, although later I found that some skin had been scraped from my back. This condition was healed, however, within a short time.
