I wish to record my gratitude...

I wish to record my gratitude for the growth and happiness which I have experienced since I started attending a Christian Science Sunday School about fifteen years ago. The understanding which I gained from continued attendance at Sunday School was manifested by increasingly thorough protection from disease and accident. It would take many pages to enumerate the ways in which Love has guided and provided for both my academic and my spiritual education.

At a school for children of Christian Scientists I saw Christian Science used in solving everyday problems. At college my protection from disease and accident was virtually complete. Here I had the privilege of helping to renew the activities of the Christian Science Organization, which had been temporarily suspended during World War II. In this experience I realized that, no matter how much academic work needed my attention, putting God first, specifically in regard to daily study of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, brought harmony and clear thinking.

Upon completion of my college training I was employed overseas for two and a half years by an oil company. In deciding whether or not to take the job, I sought guidance from divine Mind, since the information I could obtain supplied an inadequate basis for decision. I was led to accept the position, knowing that I always had been protected from harm and discomfort and that I always would be so long as I trusted in God.
