I should like to express my deep...

I should like to express my deep and sincere gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me during the last twelve years. It has met my every need.

When it first came my way I was in great need of help, physically, mentally, and spiritually. According to medical verdicts, I had a very rare lung complaint that caused me much pain and misery. I had been in a hospital twice and had had twelve X rays taken. The last time I left the hospital the specialist said there was no more he could do for me. When I arrived home I telephoned a Christian Science Reading Room and asked how I should set about getting a practitioner. The librarian told me to look in the directory in The Christian Science Journal and God would lead me to choose the right one. I called a practitioner, and I thank God from the bottom of my heart that I was led to do so.

Then began a new life for me as I learned about the Bible teachings and their spiritual interpretation by Mrs. Eddy. At first the practitioner came to see me, and then as my health improved I was able to go to her. It was a wonderful time of learning, almost like going to school. However, the complete healing did not come at that time, for I was trying to make ill matter into well matter, instead of knowing that disease had never really touched the man of God's creation and that none of its phases were true.
