A healing I received through Christian Science prompts me to send this expression of gratitude in proof of the Scriptural statement (Ex. 15:26), "I am the Lord that healeth thee." Following a period of discord and resentment brought about by an inharmonious family relationship, a condition of gangrene manifested itself on my foot. The healing was slow, due to the need for a greater sense of love before irritating and sensitive suggestions could be cast out of my consciousness.

My physical activity was curtailed for four months. During this testing time, although the physical manifestation was aggravated, I had the courage to rely on spiritual means alone. As a result, I drew nearer to God than ever before. When a greater sense of love filled my consciousness the inharmonious family relationship was adjusted and the foot was completely healed. This enabled me to resume my work as a Christian Science nurse, which necessitated standing on my feet the greater part of the day.

I am very grateful for the spiritual inspiration given me by the practitioner who helped me with this difficulty. She lovingly pointed out the higher sense of the Christ, Truth, which comes not to condemn, but to heal and save. I am grateful for the encouragement of my teacher and for the tender care of a Christian Science nurse, as well as for the kindnesses shown me by friends during this period.
