Seven years ago I began to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, with my husband, who has been a student of Christian Science since his childhood. Through this attendance and through study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings I began to understand the truth, and I earnestly desired to prove it in my experience.

The opportunity came when we were expecting our first child. The help of a Christian Science practitioner was sought, and during the months that followed, God was in my thoughts almost constantly. When the time came the baby arrived normally and without pain.

When our second child was born, a practitioner again gave loving help. The baby arrived while my husband was out of town. His mother, who is a Christian Scientist, was with me, helping to care for our little girl. We had kept our thought close to God, and we knew He would meet our every need. Again the birth was completely harmonious. There was no convalescent period. I was up and dressed the next morning, tending to household duties. How grateful I am for the freedom I felt during these experiences and for the spiritual unfoldment I gained through reliance on God. In each case the practitioner was most loving in guiding my thought to the truth. It was a wonderful privilege to have a Christian Science nurse on both occasions. The love, efficiency, and joy that were expressed were boundless.
