WATCH AND PRAY
Tell
me, what shall I watch?
My thoughts!
That only words of worth
Shall pass my lips.
That I may lift up from the earth
My fellow man
When he, unthinking, slips
Into the snare of self-willed plan.
Tell me, how shall I pray?
With thoughts
Expressed in words of worth
And deeds of love
That lift up from the earth
My fellow man.
Then shall he see
And know the Father's plan.
Thus shall I watch and pray.
