REFLECTION

The wood, the mountain, and the tree,
Reflected in the quiet lake.
Remain in line and symmetry
An image not to mar or break.

The tree still wears its happy green,
The mountain still its crest of snow;
The bright wood in the lake is seen
The same above, the same below.

So man as image still must be
Intact and whole and unconfined
As wood and mountain and as tree
In the unchanging realm of Mind.
