WE POSSESS OUR INHERITANCE NOW

In Ezekiel we read (46:16), "If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons'; it shall be their possession by inheritance." The inspired Scriptures identify man as the heir of God, and this fact of divine unity establishes man's right to the possession of all that is good, pure, and true.

Our real inheritance being wholly spiritual, it is both tangible and indivisible. Conferred by God, it is constituted of Spirit's manifold gifts, which bear witness to His power and presence. This legacy of inestimable gifts, which is entirely unrelated to materiality, is never subject to mortal limitations, for it is inexhaustible. Nothing can be added to it, nor can any person, place, or condition usurp it, divert it, or delay its unfoldment in consciousness. The receptive thought readily recognizes this indispensable heritage in its true nature as spiritual, forever contained within the infinite wisdom which originates, bestows, and maintains it.

In "Miscellaneous Writings" Mary Baker Eddy says (p.307): "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment. What aglorious inheritance is given to us through the understanding of omnipresent Love! More we cannot ask: more we do not want: more we cannot have."
