THE BEAUTY OF LOVE
Where
did the dreary darkness go,
where flew the taunts of fear?
I am not lonely any more
because God's love is here.
I feel it warming every thought,
just like the morning sun
when slowly over mountaintops
it shines—and shadows run.
Shadows of cold, and of the night,
shadows of creeping wrong,
go stealing off to nothingness,
just like a shepherd's song.
I found my life in God's great love;
His love now grows in me,
a love that with true beauty shines
in immortality.
