It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give thanks to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, as well as for Mrs. Eddy, our Leader, and her discovery of Christian Science.

I should like to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Some time ago I broke and dislocated my hip. I began at once to apply my understanding of this Science to the situation; also I asked my daughter to call a practitioner. The next day I was up, and the following day I was at my place of duty.

This activity was made possible through radical reliance on Christian Science and without the slightest material aid. I continued to be active, although it took about six months to complete the healing. I was supported and sustained by truths from the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which gave me courage and assurance. One statement from Science and Health that was of help to me reads as follows (p. 385): "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself." Another reads (p. 412): "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death." I am so very grateful that I was able to witness the healing power of Christian Science.
