It has been many years since I first began the study of Christian Science. I have had many healings and blessings through the application of the truth revealed by our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. For all these I am most grateful.

After attending my first Wednesday evening testimony meeting, I felt I had found the truth for which I had hungered and searched a long time. I realized that the many questions and doubts about God which had troubled me could be answered by the wonderful teachings in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The next day I began to read this book.

A few months later I married. I attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, regularly and applied the teachings of Christian Science to the best of my understanding almost from the first, with the result that a mashed finger was healed in a short time and colds were overcome. Two of our sons were born with Christian Science treatment alone. The births were harmonious and practically painless. So-called children's diseases were healed quickly through the help of a loving practitioner.

It seemed necessary for a relative who was opposed to Christian Science to live in our home. I had a great struggle to overcome a sense of resentment, but finally, when I learned to love more and to see this dear one as God's perfect child, I began to realize that what I seemed to resent in this relative was no part of the real man or of God's creation, which God had said was "very good." I also knew that God is Love, and our Leader says in her spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer (Science and Health, p. 17), "And Love is reflected in love." I was healed and the situation improved.

I am grateful to be a member of The Mother Church and a branch church; it has been a great joy to serve on numerous committees and in the Christian Science Sunday School; I am also grateful for class instruction.
